We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst.  The successful candidate will have experience in business analysis and requirements definition for business process management applications.  Experience with SharePoint and/or .NET development environment is an asset. The ideal candidate will also possess great interpersonal and team skills and have the ability to learn new products and technologies.

Responsibilities

The outstanding candidate we seek will be responsible for this diverse and challenging range of responsibilities:

• Provides business analysis skills in support of business process management and stakeholder relationship management solutions on the Microsoft platform
• Defines specs for different business requirements by evaluating, identifying, and proposing system features/enhancements.
• Communicates and proposes technical requirements to development staff for consideration.
• Identifies and proposes solutions that improve process efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings

Requirements

• 5+ years “hands-on” experience in a business analyst role in a solutions development environment
• Understanding of business modeling techniques/tools
• Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of users-requirements and the development of specifications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • development of Internet/Intranet business strategies
  • business process re-engineering
  • business case development and cost-benefit analysis
  • feasibility studies
  • Joint Application Development facilitation
• Experience in SDLC frameworks, change management protocols, and IT best practices
• Strong team orientation.
• Highly organized skills, ability to work independently, and respond quickly and accurately to user requests for information
• Strong verbal and written skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization in a highly customer-orientated manner
• Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to do effective stakeholder management through facilitation of workshops, communication, negotiation, consensus building, and problem solving
• Prior experience with Microsoft SharePoint and/or ASP.NET is desirable.  Also, prior experience working in a public sector environment is highly desirable.
