We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager.  The ideal candidate will have experience in successfully managing software application development projects from conception to post-implementation support.  Experience with SharePoint and/or .NET development environment is an asset. The candidate will also possess great interpersonal and team skills and have the ability to learn new products and technologies.

Responsibilities

The outstanding candidate we seek will be responsible for this diverse and challenging range of responsibilities:

• Leads project teams and assumes day-to-day planning, management and control of application development and maintenance projects, including the selection of methodologies, techniques and tools which are appropriate to the project(s)
• Provides project management leadership, expertise and training/support to major software development projects for external and internal clients
• Performs project pre-implementation assessments and works with project sponsors, project leads and other decision-makers to ensure appropriate approaches, governance and organizational structures are in place.
• Provides accountability for ensuring the successful completion of all phases of the project(s) from analysis to implementation, including responsibility for staffing, budgeting, scheduling and monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in managing software application development projects end-to-end, from project initiation through to full production, including all necessary steps (e.g., development of business rules, development, UAT, go-live, training, etc.)
• Experience in managing large IT projects with 1,000 End Users or more;
• Project Management experience in an oversight and leadership capacity in the following:
  • leading the creation of business needs assessments for software application implementations
  • leading in establishing and/or managing risk assessments for major projects
  • coordinating implementation of technical architectures and designs (including application configurations and integrations) for software applications
  • business transformation and change management functions pertaining to the introduction of new processes and technology
  • coordination of multiple concurrent and related projects
  • managing the implementation activities with large IT projects;

• Experience in deploying structured project management methodologies for application implementation projects
• Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation, support)
• Experience in the use of project management software, including MS Project
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
