Hi Jennifer,
What a great idea...wish I were a little closer, I'd certainly love to participate! (may be a good use for my airmiles down the road). Great to see things continually pushed forward by people that know there must be a better way!
As always, love your posts!
Take care,

I am thrilled you had a great experience at healthcamp. It is the interchange between people from different perspectives that I have strived to encourage.

Other attendees want to put together a patientcamp. I think carecamp and patientcamp would work well together. Go to http://healthca.mp for resources to he'll you get a camp going. Keep me in the loop!

And thanks for coming blogging and most importantly commuting to taking action!

Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for commenting :)

The beauty of these conferences is that participants get to think big, regardless of how possible the ideas are to implement. And then later it gets further distilled to something actionable. This website thing couldn't be implemented today, but at least a room full of interested, smart people had an opportunity to think it through and crystalize some thoughts around it.

Your work sounds interesting although I can understand how slow things can be. And as good as collaboratives are, they slow things down even more :) I'm setting wheels in motion now to get a CareCamp going so I will keep you posted and then let you know how you might help.

This sounds amazing and something that I'd love to be involved in. I like, especially, the website with the longitudinal data, etc. I work part time for an organisation that has collaboratives and works on improving healthcare for children with special needs. The collaborative right now is concentrating on children with epilepsy and children with deafness/hard of hearing. The only trouble with the work is that it's very theoretical -- and changes, albeit good, are slow, slow, slow. Thanks for letting us know about unconferences.
